Alexandrova, Stretton Impress at ITA Regionals

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Led by the semifinal appearance of Eva Alexandrova and Millie Stretton, the Maryland women's tennis team wrapped up play at ITA Atlantic Regionals on Monday.
Maryland's top doubles tandem became the fourth pair in the last three seasons to advance to the semifinal. It was also the second semifinal berth for both players, with each previously reaching the round in 2017.
Alexandrova and Stretton posted three-consecutive victories before being bested by Starodubsteva/Andrieieva of Old Dominion in the semifinal.
Sophomore Zoe Kulkarni earned a victory in singles play, knocking off Courtney Caragh of Delaware, 5-7, 7-5, 6-4.
