• This is Maryland's 24th straight NCAA Tournament appearance - the longest active streak in the country. The Terps have made 30 NCAA Tournament appearances and are 62-22 (.738) all-time in NCAA Tournament games, which is the highest Tournament winning percentage in the nation. Head coach Missy Meharg is 58-21 (.734) all-time in NCAA Tournament games, the best percentage among active Division I coaches.

• With Sunday's win, Maryland advanced to the NCAA Semifinals for the 19th time in school history and 18th under head coach Missy Meharg. The Terps are 12-6 all-time in the NCAA Semifinals and 7-1 in NCAA Semifinals and Finals in Louisville. The Terrapins won the 2005, 2008 and 2011 NCAA titles at Trager Stadium.

• The Terps beat No. 5 UConn, 2-1, in overtime Sunday in the NCAA Quarterfinals. The Huskies struck first, then a goal by Bibi Donraadt in the 26th minute tied the match. Madison Maguire scored the game winner with 3:03 left in overtime. | MORE

• Linnea Gonzales was named Big Ten Player of the Year, sophomore Bodil Keus was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and Donraadt was voted Big Ten Freshman of the Year Wednesday. Keus and Gonzales made the All-Big Ten First Team, Nike Lorenz made the All-Big Ten Second Team and Olivia Reiter was recognized with a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.

• Gonzales, Lorenz and Donraadt are leading Maryland with 14 goals. Maryland has 10 scorers with multiple goals and 15 total Terps have found the goal line.

• Senior goalkeeper Sarah Holliday is No. 5 on Maryland field hockey's all-time list with 258 career saves. She has more saves than any Maryland goalkeeper since Irene Horvat in 1994.

• Head coach Missy Meharg is in her 31st season as head coach of the Terrapins. She's led them to a record of 564-137-9 (.801), seven NCAA titles, 25 conference titles and 18 Final Fours. She has been named NFHCA National Coach of the Year an unprecedented nine times in her career.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS

• Third-seeded Princeton is 15-4 overall after beating Harvard, 2-1, in the NCAA Quarterfinals Sunday.
• Clara Roth is leading the Tigers with 13 goals this season.
• Maryland owns the all-time series over Princeton, 23-9-1. Most recently, the Terps came back from a 4-1 deficit to win at Princeton, 5-4, in double overtime on Sept. 18. Kyler Greenwalt, Sabrina Rhodes and Kelee Lepage scored first for Maryland, then Bibi Donraadt tied it up with 15 seconds left in regulation. • Head coach Carla Tagliente played at Maryland from 1997-00. Assistant coach Dina Rizzo played at Maryland with Tagliente and graduated in 2002. Rizzo was associate head coach at Maryland from 2010-15. They were both NFHCA All-Americans and helped the Terrapins to the 1999 NCAA title.
• Maryland is 4-3 all-time vs. Princeton in the NCAA Tournament. They have met in the Final Four twice. The Tigers took their 2012 meeting and the Terps took their 2009 meeting.

B1G TERPS

The Terrapins joined the Big Ten conference in 2014, after playing in the ACC for 31 years. Big Ten field hockey is the largest conference in the history of the sport in the NCAA with nine teams - Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers and Maryland.

• The Terps are 129-39-3 (.762) all-time against Big Ten opponents.

• Head coach Missy Meharg is 111-19-1 (.912) vs. Big Ten opponents in her 31 years at the helm of the Maryland field hockey program.

• Since joining the league in 2014, the Terps are 46-8 in conference play.

• The Terrapins are 44-3 (.936) vs. Big Ten teams at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex.

• The Terrapins won the first Big Ten title for the University of Maryland with a 4-1 win over No. 14 Iowa on Nov. 1, 2014 in College Park.

HOME SWEET HOME

Since its opening in 2003, the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex has provided the Maryland hockey program a huge home field advantage.

• The Terps are 178-20 (.899) all-time at the Complex.

• Maryland won 38 straight games at the Complex from Oct.11, 2008 through Oct. 14, 2011. The streak ended with a 5-2 loss to then-No. 1 Old Dominion.

• The Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex has played home to 28 of Maryland's NCAA Tournament games and has played host to three Final Fours (2007, 2010, 2014). The Terrapins are 25-3 in those games and won the 2010 national title on their home field.

PACK THE HOUSE

• The Maryland field hockey team has increasingly attracted more and more fans to the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex season after season. The Terrapins have led the nation in attendance in five of the last eight years.

• An NCAA-record crowd of 2,381 came out to watch as Maryland beat North Carolina 3-2 in double overtime for the 2010 national championship at the Complex.

THREE TERPS EARN PRESEASON BIG TEN HONORS
• Senior Linnea Gonzales, junior Kelee Lepage and sophomore Brooke DeBerdine were named to the Big Ten Players to Watch list in August. The full list, click HERE.

• This marks Gonzales' fourth straight year earning Big Ten Preseason honors. She was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2015 and All-Big Ten First Team honors last season. Gonzales is the Terps' second leading returning scorer with 10 goals last season, including three in their NCAA Tournament run to the national championship game.

• Lepage started in 12 of 22 games as a sophomore last year. She scored one goal in a game at Michigan State and notched three assists.

• As a freshman last season, DeBerdine started in all 23 games and was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team.

CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN

• Seniors Linnea Gonzales, Julie Duncan and junior Kelee Lepage were voted team captains before the season. The full list, click HERE.

• The trio was votes on by their peers after a team vote. All three Terps are new to the captainship role.

OVERTIME IS TERPS TIME

During Missy Meharg's tenure, the Terrapins have become one of the nation's most dangerous teams in overtime.

• The Terps are 66-25 (.725) all-time in games that went to overtime or penalty strokes.

• In Meharg's tenure, the Terps are 55-21 (.724) in overtime or penalty strokes games.

STAFF UPDATES
• The Terrapins welcome two new assistant staff members in 2018. Kati Nearhouse comes on board as the team's Director of Operations and former Terrapin Kasey Tapman joins as the team's volunteer assistant coach.

• Nearhouse comes to Maryland after spending the 2017 season as an assistant coach at Bryant. Prior to her time at Bryant, Nearhouse worked for two seasons at her alma mater, Syracuse, as the Director of Operations for field hockey. She played her first three seasons at Old Dominion before transferring to Syracuse to finish her career. As a player, Nearhouse was named an NFHCA Division I Second Team All-American after a standout sophomore campaign in 2011. That season, she started 25 games and tallied 21 points off eight goals and five assists, leading the Lady Monarchs to the Final Four.

• Tapman was a part of five Maryland field hockey teams, including a redshirt season. She played in 77 career games. She helped the Terps to the 2011 NCAA title and three total NCAA Final Fours. In her time in College Park, Maryland won four conference titles. She is currently on the U.S. National Team's Developmental Squad.

TERPS ON NATIONAL TEAMS

• Nine Terrapins, former and present, are currently on USA Field Hockey's national team rosters. 

• Jill (Witmer) Funk competed with Team USA in the Rio Olympics last summer, along with former volunteer assistant coach Stefanie Fee. Former Terrapin Megan Frazer is on the Irish National Team and current Terp Nike Lorenz plays for Team Germany.

• Recent grads Anna Dessoye and Alyssa Parker are on the U.S. Women's National Team. Seniors Linnea Gonzales, Sabrina Rhodes and volunteer assistant coach Kasey Tapman are on the U.S. Developmental Squad.

• Current Terps Brooke DeBerdine, Kyler Greenwalt are on the U.S. Under-21 Team.
