COLLEGE PARK, Md. - No. 19 Maryland will take its six-game win streak on the road Friday, January 18 when the Terps travel to face Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio. The game at Value City Arena is slated to tip-off at 6:30 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 (FS1).

STORYLINES

 •  The all-time series is tied 6-6 between the two schools, while Maryland holds a 4-2 advantage head-to-head since joining the Big Ten. The Terrapins' last win at Value City Arena came on January 31, 2017 when they secured a 77-71 victory thanks in part to an 11-point, 5-assist effort from then-freshman Anthony Cowan Jr.

•  Cowan hit a pivotal 3-pointer with 44 seconds left to push Maryland to a 64-60 win over Wisconsin their last time out on January 14.

•  Maryland's win over Wisconsin has given the Terps their third 6-1 start in Big Ten play in the past four seasons. The Terps previously got off to 8-1 (2016-17) and 6-1 (2015-16) starts in B1G games under head coach Mark Turgeon.

•  Maryland allowed just 15 points in the first half against Wisconsin, marking the fewest points scored in a half by an opponent since Maryland allowed 14 in a 68-66 OT win over Michigan State in its first-ever Big Ten game on December 30, 2014.

•  Sophomore Bruno Fernando was named the Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week on January 15, becoming the first Maryland men's basketball player to earn the honor since it was first awarded on a weekly basis in the 2009-10 season.

•  The award comes on the heels of Fernando claiming Big Ten Player of the Week honors Monday. Fernando was sensational in a pair of critical Maryland victories last week, notching two double-doubles and averaging 17.5 points (73% FG), 12 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

•  Cowan is averaging 24.0 points, 5 assists and 5.6 rebounds the past three games in wins over Minnesota, #22 Indiana and Wisconsin. He has now scored 20+ points in three straight games for the first time in his Maryland career. The Bowie, Md. native has been clutch in the second half during that stretch, going 7-of-11 from three while scoring 58 of his 72 points in the final 20 minutes.

•  Anthony Cowan is the first Terrapin to finish with 20+ points in three straight Big Ten regular season games since Maryland joined the conference. He's the first Terp to finish with a three-game 20+ scoring stretch in conference games since Terrell Stoglin went 28-33-20-27 in four consecutive games from January 28 to February 7 during the 2012 season.

•  Maryland is now 5-1 when trailing at halftime this season, including a perfect 4-0 mark when behind at the half of Big Ten games. The five wins when behind at half are the second most during Mark Turgeon's tenure at Maryland, while the four come-from-behind conference wins are the most-ever for a Terrapin team under Turgeon.
