SPARKS, Md. --Senior midfielder
Jen Giles has been named to the U.S. National Team for the first time in her career and will compete in the Spring Premiere this weekend at Stanford University.
Giles was selected as part of a 26-player roster that features some of the best lacrosse talent in the nation, including former Terps: three-time Tewaaraton winner Taylor Cummings, Megan Douty, two-time Tewaaraton winner Katie Haus and Alice Mercer.Â
A 2018 IWLCA First Team All-American, Giles is one of eight current collegiate players representing the US this weekend in California. Last season for the Terps, Giles led the team and ranked third in the Big Ten with 31 assists, ranked second on the team with 83 points and third on the team with 52 goals. Giles has accumulated 186 points (120 goals, 66 assists) through three years of her Terrapin career, making the Final Four in all three seasons and winning the 2017 NCAA Championship.Â
