#10 Maryland Travels to Indiana Sunday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The 10th-ranked Maryland women's basketball team (17-2, 5-2 B1G) will take on Indiana (16-4, 5-3) Sunday at noon at the Hoosiers' Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington.

The Terps-Hoosiers game will be televised around the world on the Big Ten Network. Click here for your channel number for BTN. Fans can also watch the Maryland-Ohio State matchup at BTN2Go.com and the BTN2Go app with their cable login information. Fans outside the U.S. can watch here. Live stats will also be available.

Maryland is 6-0 all-time vs. Indiana, who is currently receiving votes in the coaches poll. The Terrapins took both matchups last year - 74-70 in College Park on Jan. 16 and 67-54 in the Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinals on March 2. Junior Kaila Charles led the Terps with 16 points and 24 points in the two matchups.

The Terps used a 13-0 run in the third and fourth quarters to win at Ohio State, 70-57, Thursday night in Columbus. Junior Stephanie Jones led the way with 20 points. Ohio native freshman Taylor Mikesell added 14 points and freshman Shakira Austin added eight with 11 boards.

Austin is one of 15 players named to the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Watch List Friday. She is the only freshman on the list for the national honor. With her two blocks at Ohio State, she has 53 blocks this season in 19 games, topping Marissa Coleman's freshman blocks mark of 52 in 2006.

Maryland is in the top 10 nationally in rebounding margin (+10.5) and defensive rebounds (30.6). Sophomore Channise Lewis leads the Big Ten in assist/turnover ratio (2.6) and is No. 2 in assists (5.2).

Mikesell leads the league in threes made with 59 and needs 13 more made threes to top Maryland's freshman record. Austin is second in the Big Ten and 10th in the country in total blocks (53). Jones is third in the Big Ten in field goal percentage (.615).

Maryland is ranked No. 11 in the AP poll and No. 10 in the USA Today Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll.

After Sunday's matchup, the Terrapins will return home to College Park to host Wisconsin (10-10, 1-7) Thursday at 7 p.m. at the XFINITY Center.

The Terrapins will partner with Play4TheCure at Thursday's game. Play4TheCure is a fundraising platform for the National Foundation for Cancer Research which provides funding worldwide to the best scientists to enable cutting edge research that other large cancer organizations can't and won't fund. Play4TheCure inspires young athletes and their teams to leverage their passion for sports to "Play4" loved ones affected by cancer and encourages them to actively participate in working to fund cancer research to make a difference.

Fans can donate with proceeds going to the National Foundation for Cancer Research here. Fans can show their donation receipt to the Terrapin Ticket Office on game day to receive a $4 discounted ticket to the game.

Thursday's game is also Testudo Bobblehead night. All fans in attendance will receive a scratch off ticket upon entry into the arena. Five hundred lucky fans will take home a Testudo bobblehead. Click here for tickets.
