COLLEGE PARK, Md. - As the top-10 ranked Maryland men's and women's basketball teams set to kick off their respective 2019-20 seasons Nov. 5, fans can expect a number of facility additions, promotional items and concession items as announced today by Maryland Athletics.

Around the Arena:
New Banners

• Maryland Athletics upgraded both the men's and women's basketball team's respective banners in the offseason, including all individual student-athlete & coach banners and team banners.

 Test Your Wingspan

• A lifesize poster featuring 7'2" center Chol Marial's incredible 7'8" wingspan will be on full display on the wall near Gate F! Find Chol and measure your own wingspan against Chol's! Other wingspans featured include Shaquille O'Neal and Kevin Huerter.

 TERPS Letters

• Be on the lookout for large "TERPS" letters sprinkled throughout the concourse! Your instagram feed is calling you!

 "My First Terps Game" 

• Is it the first-ever Terps game for you or somebody you know? Visit the large picture frame outside Gate A near the fan assistance window to capture the moment. A certificate and button will also be provided to commemorate the event!

 Team Shop Upgrade

• Maryland Athletics has upgraded the shopping experience in its team shop. Fans can expect an array of new options for the 2019-20 season in addition to dynamic new display elements.

Among the exciting promotions to be on the lookout for this season at men's basketball games:

• Gold Rush: The 11th annual all-gold game vs. Illinois on Dec. 7!
• Red Out: vs. Iowa on Jan. 30 to welcome students back from winter break! Be on the lookout for Jurassic Park themed elements.
• Stix Night: On Feb. 11 vs. Nebraska, the first 250 students will receive Jalen Smith inspired goggles, while the rest will receive "glow STIX."
• White Out: Season finale vs. Michigan on March 8. 

And at women's basketball games:

• White Out: Help the Terps White Out XFINITY Center when they host a top-ranked matchup against South Carolina on Nov. 10! 
• Saturday Night Fever: Time to get groovy for a late-night Saturday matchup with Michigan on Dec. 28! Fans can receive a Maryland disco ball necklace and participate in a halftime dance party.
• Price is Right Night: Back for a third season, Price is Right Night will be held at the game against Ohio State on Jan. 6! Step on up for fun games and win exciting prizes.
• Play4Kay: Annual Play4Kay game in support of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund will be on Feb. 3 vs. Michigan State.

Concessions:
The Terrapin Club is pleased to offer its members 10-percent off concessions at Men's and Women's Basketball games (excludes Alcohol/Beer, Chick-Fil-A, and Dippin' Dots) during the 2019-2020 season. Members will be able to present their official Terrapin Club Membership Card to access the discount.
 
XFINITY Center will also continue to offer an array of exciting food options throughout the arena. Check them out below!
 
- There will be a new Green Turtle concessions stand during men's games located behind section 205. It will feature crab cakes, hog hammers, boneless wings, beyond burgers, Maryland crab soup, loaded tots, crab dip with pretzel sticks, pretzels with beer cheese and Shell Raiser draft beer.
- A kosher stand, located behind section 121, will be open during select conference games serving hot pastrami, turkey and corned beef, falafel and hot dogs.
- A variety of beer options will continue to be available during men's and women's basketball games, including Coors Light, Blue Moon, Guinness Blonde, Corona, Terrapin Up Hi and Terrapin Rec Ale. 
- The Maryland Dairy's famous ice cream will also once again be available for men's and women's games, featuring Turge Turtle Crunch and Brenda's Peanut Butter Frese. Stands are located behind section 105 (limited selection) and behind section 120.
- Other favorites set to return to all men's and women's basketball games included Logan's italian sausages, Berk's hot dogs, pork BBQ, burgers, soft pretzels, souvenir bottomless popcorn buckets and a variety of Pepsi products. 
 
Donate to VetTix
For this upcoming basketball season, we have become a fully integrated partner with VetTix.  Season ticket holders can use their online account to donate tickets directly to VetTix. The tickets are then donated to veteran soldiers to attend home men's and women's basketball games at no cost to them. Tickets would need to be donated 48 hours prior to the game that the season ticket holder is unable to attend to give ample time for them to be delivered electronically to veterans and/or active duty military personnel.
