• The Terps checked in a No. 7 in this week's Associated Press poll, marking its seventh straight week in the top-10 of the rankings to open the season. It's the ninth time in history Maryland has achieved the feat and third since the turn of the century (2001-02, 2015-16).
• Sophomore
Jalen Smith leads the Big Ten and ranks fifth nationally with seven doubles-doubles, including three straight, through 11 games this season. Smith is averaging 13.7 points, 13.3 rebounds and 3.7 blocks over his last three games. He posted five double-doubles last season as a freshman.
