COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The No. 3 Maryland lacrosse team (3-0) will play its lone midweek game of the regular season Tuesday, February 19 when the Terps host Colgate (2-0) at Maryland Stadium amidst a stretch of three games in eight days. The game will faceoff at 5:00 pm and will be streamed on BTN Plus.
STORYLINES BY THE NUMBERS
3 – Senior Louis Dubick had a career day at Penn, recording his first career hat trick to help Maryland secure the 13-12 OT victory. After appearing mostly in extra man packages for the Terps in his first three seasons, Dubick has started on attack in all three games for Maryland in 2019.
4 – Maryland will look to start 4-0 for the third consecutive season on Saturday. The Terps have started 4-0 five times under head coach John Tillman, and are 25-2 overall in February games during Tillman's tenure as head coach.
6 – Jared Bernhardt and Logan Wisnauskas were key for Maryland's offense in the team's 13-12 OT win over Penn, as the duo combined for 12 points with six each. Bernhardt dished a career-best 4 assists in the win, while Wisnauskas scored 4 goals for the second time this season. Both Bernhard and Wisnauskas have totaled 14 points on the season.
7 – Maryland is 7-2 all-time against Colgate, dating back to the first-ever meeting between the two schools in 1927. The Terps earned an 18-6 victory at Maryland Stadium in the last meeting between the two schools during the 2013 season.
15 – Faceoff specialist Austin Henningsen made history against Richmond on February 9, becoming the first player in Big Ten history to post a perfect faceoff percentage (15-for-15, 100%) with at least 15 wins. The Northport, N.Y. native is also the only Terp with at least 10 faceoff wins and a perfect 100% clip since at least 2000, and he's the first Division I player this season to post 15+ faceoff wins and a perfect win percentage.
18 – Fifth-year senior Danny Dolan was sensational for the Terps against Penn on February 16, tying his career-high with 18 saves against the Quakers. It was the most saves in a game by a Maryland goalie since Niko Amato made 24 saves against Yale on April 20, 2013, while Dolan came through with a clutch stop at the end of regulation to force OT.
23 – Head coach John Tillman is 23-11 at Maryland in one-goal games, and has led the Terps to five consecutive wins in one-goal games. After beating Richmond 10-9 and Penn 13-12 in OT, Maryland has now won back-to-back one-goal games for the fourth time under head coach John Tillman. Maryland beat Penn State (4/8) and Rutgers (4/16) by one goal in consecutive games last season, while the Terps won three-straight one-goal contests vs. Loyola, Rutgers and Ohio State during the 20165 campaign.
100 – Junior Jared Bernhardt is just two points away from reaching 100 career points as a Terrapin, entering Tuesday's contest with 98 points (69 G, 29 A) in 40 career games played. Bernhardt would become the 55th Terp all-time to reach the milestone, while holding a 2.45 points per game career average.
