
Terps Wrap Up at Puerto Rico Classic

RIO GRANDE, P.R. – The Maryland men's golf team wrapped up at the Puerto Rico Classic Tuesday at the Rio Mar Beach and Spa Resort's River Course.
Senior Timothy Colanta led the Terrapins and finished two strokes over par total with a score of 218 (71-68-79), which tied him for 30th in the individual standings.
Junior Peter Knade went five strokes over and went even in Tuesday's final round. He shot a 221 (75-74-72).
Freshman Dillon Brown shot a 225 (77-74-74). Junior Christian Park and redshirt junior Evan Santa both shot a 229. Park shot an even 72 in Tuesday's final round, after shooting a 74 in the first round and 83 in the second. Santa shot a 77 in the first and third rounds and a 75 in the second.
As a team, the Terps finished tied for 13th with an overall score of 883 (297-291-295).
The Terrapins competed against No. 4 Georgia, No. 5 Alabama, No. 12 Clemson, No. 13 Oklahoma, No. 21 Georgia, No. 28 NC State, No. 31 Marquette, No. 40 Iowa, No. 56 Ohio State, UNC Greensboro, East Carolina, Virginia Tech, Middle Tennessee State and tournament-host Purdue.
Next, Maryland will compete in the Schenkel Invitational March 15-17 in Statesboro, Ga.
