
Maryland to Compete at Big Ten Championships Sunday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland gymnastics team will travel to State College, Pa. to compete in the first session of Big Ten Championships this Saturday. The meet will start at noon EST. The meet will be broadcasted on FOX Sports GO and BTN. Live stats will be available here.
"I'm really impressed with how this teams come together," said head coach Brett Nelligan. "They're finding themselves and believing in each other and it's all happening at the perfect time."
The Terrapins enter Big Ten Championships coming off their two best performances of the season earning better than 196.400 in both meets.
All-arounder Audrey Barber has been particularly impressive coming off two 9.900 performances on beam and a season best all-around score of 39.425. Barber was announced All-Big Ten Second Team this week.
Alecia Farina continues her excellence on vault where she earned a season best and matched her career best on vault earning a 9.900 with a beautiful stick.
Collea Burgess, one of the Terrapins most valuable assets returned to floor last week to earn a 9.900. Burgess' career best on the event came on March 4 where she earned a show stopping 9.925.
Senior Shynelle Agaran entered the lineup in March and ended her senior season on a high note. Agaran earned her season best on bars last meet with a 9.850 and followed with an excellent beam routine that scored a 9.775.
