COLLEGE PARK, Md. --  The second-ranked Maryland women's lacrosse team will host No. 14 Princeton on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. for the first ever women's lacrosse game on Fox Sports 1. Dean Linke and Sheehan Stanwick Burch will have the call for FS1. 

HOW WE GOT HERE
• Led by six points apiece from senior Jen Giles (four goals, two assists) and junior Kali Hartshorn (three goals, three assists), the No. 2 Maryland women's lacrosse team (10-0, 2-0 B1G) trounced No. 7 James Madison 18-5 on Sunday afternoon.
• Led by six points (one goal, five assists) from Brindi Griffin and five points (four goals, one assist) from Grace Griffin, the No. 2 Maryland women's lacrosse used a dominant second half effort to take down No. 23 Penn State, 17-6 last Thursday night.
• A dominant defensive effort that held Ohio State to just one goal on 19 shots and forced 10 turnovers led the No. 2 Maryland women's lacrosse team to a Big Ten opening 16-1 rout of Ohio State in Maryland's last home game.

MEET THE TERPS
• The Terps are led by the midfield corps of senior Jen Giles, transfer Erica Evans and sophomore Grace Griffin. Giles leads the Terps with 28 goals, 13 assists, 41 points, 18 groundballs and is second with five caused turnovers. Griffin and Evans are third and fourth on the team respectively with 28 and 27 points. Griffin has 28 goals, six assists, leads the team with eight caused turnovers and is third on the team with 14 groundballs. Evans, a transfer from Canisius, is third on the team with eight assists.
•  Maryland is once again backlined by junior goalie Megan Taylor, who has had an incredible start to 2019, leading the country with a .585 save percentage at 93 saves to 66 goals allowed. Taylor was named the B1G Defensive Player of the Week in each of the past four weeks and the IWLCA National Player of the Week for the last two.
• The attack is spearheaded by junior Kali Hartshorn and senior Caroline Steele. Hartshorn is second on the team in both points (33) and goals (26) and leads the team with 58 draw controls. Steele leads the team with three goals per game and had the game winner in overtime against No. 3 North Carolina. 
• Senior Julia Braig and junior Lizzie Colson guide the Maryland defense. Braig leads the Terps with eight caused turnovers while Colson leads Maryland with 18 groundballs and is second on Maryland with 39 draw controls.

HOME DOMINANCE
• Maryland is on a 82-game win streak in College Park and hasn't lost since March 10, 2012.
• This is the longest home winning streak in program history, last year eclipsing the previous long of 62 games.

REESE APPROACHING ALL-TIME WINS MARK
• Head Coach Cathy Reese is two wins away from tying former Maryland boss Cindy Timchal for the most wins ever by a Maryland head coach.
• Reese currently stands at 258-21, while Timchal ended her Maryland career at 260-46. Reese played for Timchal from 1995-98 and served as her assistant coach from 1999-03. 

AWARD TIME FOR MEGAN TAYLOR
• Senior Megan Taylor has won a handful of awards over the past weeks, garnering IWLCA National Player of the Week honors in each of the past two weeks and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors in each of the past four weeks.
• Taylor now leads the NCAA with a .585 save percentage, having saved 93 shots to only allowing 66 goals. The senior also leads the Big Ten in goals against average and has the fourth best mark in the country at 7.67 goals. Taylor and Maryland have the third best scoring defense in the country, only allowing 7.10 goals per game.
• Over the four week time frame in which Taylor has won her six awards, the senior has 60 saves to only 37 goals allowed, a .619 percentage. 
• With her 600th career save in this past weekend's game against Ohio State, Taylor is also the current NCAA save leader, having the most in her career of any goalkeeper in the country.

HARTSHORN NAMED B1G OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kali Hartshorn was named the Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after leading Maryland offensively with 10 points (six goals, four assists) in the Terps two wins at No. 23 Penn State and No. 7 James Madison. Hartshorn also totaled 18 draw controls (nine per game), including a season-best 11 against Penn State, to lead Maryland to a 34-16 advantage in the draw circle in the two games. 
• At No. 23 Penn State, the junior scored three goals and notched an assist while tallying 11 draw controls and a career-best two caused turnovers to lead Maryland to a 17-6 win. At No. 7 James Madison, Hartshorn led Maryland with six points on three goals and a career-best three assists to lead Maryland to a dominating 18-5 victory over the defending National Champions.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
• No. 14 Princeton stands at 5-2 this season with wins over then No. 8 Penn State, No. 18 Stony Brook and No. 16 Florida. 
• Maryland is 31-8 all-time against Princeton. 
• Last year, senior attacker Taylor Hensh scored on a free position shot with 46 seconds left to give the No. 2 Maryland women's lacrosse team (13-1) a come from behind 11-10 win over No. 19 Princeton (6-5) on Tuesday evening.
