LAST TIME OUT
  • Maryland went 1-2 last weekend vs. RV/RV Ohio State, completing the second Big Ten conference series of the season in College Park for the third consecutive week at home and the final three games of its 11-game home stand. In Maryland's first week at home, the Terps hosted the Maryland Invitational and went 4-0, its first undefeated tournament performance of four or more games since 2012 when they went 5-0 also at the Maryland Invitational. In the Terps' first conference series, Minnesota won all three games.
  • Senior right-hander Sydney Golden once again led the Terps in the circle, limiting the Buckeyes to seven hits, one earned run and getting her 10th win of the season as Maryland walked it off Friday night to earn its first conference win of the season and its first win over Ohio State in 12 tries.
  • Sammie Stefan and Anna Kufta were the only Terps to eclipse two hits last weekend, as Kufta hit .300 with three hits, and Stefan hit .444 with four hits and a home run.
KEEPING TRACK OF THE TERPS
  • Anna Kufta notched her 100th career hit in last weekend's series vs. Minnesota with a triple against junior ace Amber Fiser.
  • Senior pitcher Sydney Golden and junior outfielder Amanda Brashear reached big career milestones at the Carolina Classic in Chapel Hill, N.C. Golden notched her 200th career strikeout and Brashear got her 100th career hit, both coming in Saturday's matchup vs. old ACC rival North Carolina.
  • Bailey Boyd reached 50 career hits and 50 career runs at the Amy S. Harrison Classic, where she went 9-16 (.563), scoring five runs and batting in three more.
  • As a team, Maryland ranks fourth in batting average (.296) and fourth in hits (267) in the Big Ten.
  • Anna Kufta holds the fourth-highest mark in the conference and leads the team in RBI (37). Kufta has already surpassed her 2018 season total (23) and her freshman year total of 27. Her current mark of 35 also ranks 24th nationally.
  • Freshman catcher Gracie Voulgaris has caught eight runners stealing this season, currently the fourth-best mark in the Big Ten.
