Ewan Earns No. 2 All-Time Finish at Penn State

State College, Pa.— Freshman Joseph Ewan ran a personal best 6.87 in the 60m dash semifinals Friday at the Penn State National Open, earning the No. 2 All-Time title at Maryland.
Ewan ran 6.89 in the preliminary round, which was his personal best before competing in semifinals. Within two hours, he set an additional personal best (6.87) and moved from the Terps' fifth fastest 60m dash to second.
Junior Nadia Hackett (8.71) and Freshman Caleb Dean (8.15) both qualified for semifinals in the 60m hurdles as they sped across the finish line.
Maryland's split team will return to the track Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. for day two at the Penn State National Open and open competition at 9:30 a.m. for the Navy Invitational II in Annapolis, Md.
