COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Maryland wrestling team will hit the road for a Big Ten road swing versus two top-5 opponents as it travels to No. 3 Ohio State (Jan. 31) and No. 2 Penn State (Feb. 2).

Scouting Ohio State
The Ohio State wrestling team (8-2, 4-1 Big Ten) ranks third in the nation after winning eight of its first 10 dual meets. The Buckeyes - led by head coach Tom Ryan - have only lost to No. 11 Virginia Tech and No. 1 Iowa. Eight Ohio State wrestlers appear in the national rankings, most notably Luke Pletcher and Kollin Moore that rank first at 141 and 197 across the board, respectively. Sammy Sasso also ranks among the best in the nation, ranked second at 149 pounds. The Buckeyes lead the all-time series against Maryland, 4-0. Maryland will compete in Columbus for the first time in team history.

The Penn State wrestling team (7-1, 4-0 Big Ten) ranks second in the nation after winning seven of its first eight dual meets. The Nittany Lions - led by head coach Cael Sanderson - have only lost to No. 6 Arizona State. Seven Penn State wrestlers appear in the national rankings, most notably Roman Bravo-Young (#3#4 at 133), Nick Lee (#2/#2 at 141), Vincenzo Joseph (#1/#1 at 165), and Mark Hall (#1/#1 at 174). The Nittany Lions lead the all-time series against Maryland, 41-1-2.
