As a Redshirt Junior (2020-21): Wrestled in 12 matches, competing in seven dual meets at 174 pounds … made his season debut in the lineup vs. Michigan and earned his first win of the year in the extra countable matches with a fall over Jaden Bullock in 4:44 (1/10) … wrestled at Michigan State (1/16) … competed against Northwestern and Nebraska (1/23) … wrestled vs. Ohio State (1/31) … in the lineup vs. Indiana (2/14) … wrestled at Penn State (2/22) … represented Maryland at the Big Ten Championships and earned a 2-0 decision over Illinois’ D.J. Shannon (3/6)

As a Redshirt Sophomore (2019-20): Served as Maryland’s primary starter at 174 pounds...Ranked third on the team in wins (17), dual wins (6), and Big Ten dual wins (3)...Ranked first among varsity wrestlers with 17 wins...Picked up ranked wins over then-No. 19 Neal Richards (VMI) and then-No. 8 Ben Harvey (Army)...took home 10th place at Big Ten Championships...earned third place at the Black Knight Invite... finished first at the American Round Robin...won 11 of his first 13 matches to open the season...qualified for NCAA Championships, earning an at-large bid at 174 pounds...opened dual competition with a decision victory over Navy’s Dean Caravela (12/6)...earned a win over Old Dominion’s Alex Cramer at the Virginia Duals (1/11)... beat Michigan’s Max Maylor to earn his first Big Ten win of the season (1/17)...earned a win over Indiana’s Jacob Covaciu (1/26)...tallied back-to-back victories over Northwestern’s Ankhaa Enkhmandakh (2/16) and George Mason’s Paul Pierce (2/21)...beat Michigan’s Max Maylor in their third meeting at Big Ten Championships (3/8)

As a Redshirt Freshman (2018-19): Won 11 matches while serving as Maryland's primary starter at 165 pounds...third-most dual wins on the team with four...three B1G dual victories, good for third-most on the roster...wrestled in all 14 dual matches...opened season with three wins at Princeton Open, including two by bonus points (11/4)...won a pair of matches by bonus points at ESU Open (11/10)...won first-career dual match by decision over Central Michigan's Bret Fedewa (12/9)...won two matches by decision in Midlands Championships debut (12/29)...won fist B1G dual match against Purdue's Cole Wysocki (1/11)...topped Michigan State's Logan Ritchie by decision for second B1G win (1/27)...edged Rutgers Stephan Glasgow by decision in B1G finale (2/22). As a Freshman (2017-18): Posted an 18-9 record while serving a redshirt year...fourth-most wins on the team with 18...tied for the most technical fall victories (3)...third-most major decision wins on team (4)...finished third at the Princeton Open in the 165-pound bracket...won via fall in his first match of the season over Clayton Porcaro at the Princeton Open (11/4)...beat Cody Dingess of Ohio State, 20-2, at the Princeton Open (11/4)...knocked off Ryan Ferro of Ohio State, 12-8, at the Princeton Open (11/4)...won 7-6 over Brad Laughlin during the Princeton Open (11/4)...finished fourth in the 165-pound bracket at the ESU Open...defeated Cameron Scalio of Kutztown, 12-4, during the ESU Open (11/12)...earned a 16-8 major decision victory over Michael Manley of Drexel during the ESU Open (11/12)...topped William MacDonald of UNC during the Wolfpack Open (11/19)...pinned Jacob Boisseau of GMU during the Wolfpack Open (11/19)...earned a fourth-place finish at the F&M Open...won three-consecutive matches to begin the F&M Open (1/6)...knocked off Max Elling of Columbia, 13-9, at the Shorty Hitchcock Open (1/13)...won against Jonah Barley of Cornell via a 14-4 major decision during the Shorty Hitchcock Open (1/13)...won the 165-pound bracket at the Messiah Open after posting a 4-0 record (2/3).

Personal: son of Phil and Barbara Spadafora...has a twin brother James who also wrestles at Maryland...also has a younger brother Jonathan who is a high school wrestler...chose Maryland for its great academics, beautiful campus, excellent coaches and athletics...majoring in letters and sciences.
