As a Redshirt Senior (2019-20): Served as Maryland’s primary starter at 157 pounds, appearing in 10 of 19 dual matches...finished his redshirt senior campaign with a 11-8 record...ranked third on the team in major decisions (3)...ranked fourth on the team in dual wins (5) and Big Ten dual wins (2)...won 11 of his first 12 bouts to start the season...won his season-opening match over Southern Virginia’s Matthew Rosson at the Cavalier Duals (11/2)...won two matches at the American Round Robin and finished in second place (11/9)...won three matches at the Black Knight Invite and placed third (11/17)...earned a win in Maryland’s Big Ten Opener over Rutgers’ Michael VanBrill (12/7)...picked up a ranked win over then-No. 11 Taleb Rahmani (Pitt) via a 3-2 decision (12/20)...beat Fresno State’s Beau Colombini at the Virginia Duals (1/10)...earned a win over Indiana’s Fernando Silva (1/24)...represented Maryland at the Big Ten Championships (3/7)...earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships

As a Redshirt Junior (2018-19): Academic All-B1G selection...won by decision over West Point's Nigel Ruiz by decision at Princeton Open (11/4)...picked up dual win in sudden victory over Central Michigan's Logan Parks (12/9)...won three matches in Midlands Championships debut, picking up a trio of decision victories (12/29)...narrowly lost to 16th-ranked Luke Weiland (West Point) by a 5-4 decision at Midlands (12/29). 

As a Redshirt Sophomore (2017-18): Earned his first win of the season over Spencer Kiehm of Harvard at the F&M Open (1/6)...bested Phil Stolfi of George Mason with a 7-6 decision at the F&M Open (1/6)...pinned Bucknell's Kyle Inlander at the F&M Open (1/6)...earned a sudden victory win against Graham Ratermann of Army at the F&M Open (1/6). 

As a Redshirt Freshman (2016-2017): Won 16 matches at 157 pounds… Academic All-Big Ten…Messiah Open runner-up (2/4)…Warriors Winter Open runner-up (2/14)…won three matches at the Southeast Open, beating WVU Tech’s Caleb Barley, VMI’s Alex Rinehart, and App State’s Carl Guess (11/6)…picked up three victories at Bearcat Open, including a major decision over Cornell’s Derek Krajewski (11/13)…posted a win at Wolfpack Open (11/20)…won twice at Shorty Hitchcock Open, with both coming by way of bonus points (1/14)…won three times to advance to final of Messiah Open (2/4)…posted three victories at Warriors Winter Open to advance to final (2/12)…won a match at the National Collegiate Open over Drexel’s Nick Wildmann (2/26).  

Before Maryland: Finished with career record of 107-19 at Oxon Hill High School...NHSCA Senior Nationals All-American...two-time county champion...regional champion...state finalist...finished career with second most wins in school history. 

Personal: Son of Joseph and Stephanie Jones...chose Maryland for the diversity and academics...hobbies include working on start-ups...majoring in accounting and supply chain management...career plans include real estate and working for an accounting firm.
