Maryland's next five games are against No. 9 Wisconsin (4), No. 19 Michigan (16), Indiana (21), No. 4 Iowa (5) and No. 18 Illinois (7). KenPom rankings are in parenthesis.
ELECTRIC AYALA
- Junior Eric Ayala scored a career-high 23 points in the Terps' win over La Salle on Dec. 22, knocking down 13-of-15 free throw attempts. It was the most free throw attempts in a game for a Terrapin since Melo Trimble attempted 15 against Northwestern in 2017. Ayala, who averaged just 8.6 points through his first two seasons, is currently averaging a team-high 14.4 points/g.
