COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's basketball team, which received nine votes in the most recent Associated Press Top-25 poll, is set to host Saint Peter's Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm on Big Ten Network. The Terps were originally scheduled to play George Mason on this date, but the game was canceled due to a positive test in the Mason program.

Dominant at home
- Maryland has been dominant at home since the start of the 2017-18 season, collecting a 49-7 (.875) overall record. The program's 49 wins during that span are the most in the Big Ten Conference. The Terps are also 55-6 (.902) in non-conference home games over the last seven seasons, including 11 straight wins dating back to 2018.

Maryland has opened the season as one of the best shooting teams in the country, ranking eighth nationally and first in the Big Ten shooting at a 57.2% clip through three games. Junior Eric Ayala has led the way, ranking second in the Big Ten in 3-pt percentage (.571) and third in overall field goal percentage (.720).

Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon is in his 10th season at the helm for the Terrapins, having led the program to more than 20 wins in five of the last six seasons. Turgeon's .652 winning percentage in Big Ten Conference play ranks sixth all-time among coaches with at least 50 wins, trailing only Bo Ryan, Bob Knight, Tom Izzo and Thad Matta.

Tuesday's matchup marks the third meeting all-time between Maryland and Saint Peter's, with the Terps winning both previous games. The schools last met on Dec. 10, 2016, when the Terps defeated the Peacocks, 66-56, on 19 points from Justin Jackson and an additional 14 from Kevin Huerter.
