
Terps Travel to Mexico for IJGA International Invite

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's golf team is heading to Guadalajara, Mexico, this weekend to compete in the 2020 IJGA Collegiate Invitational from Sunday through Tuesday.
The Terrapins will compete at the Guadalajara Country Club in head coach Diana Cantu's home country. The event is hosted by Virginia, but will be run by the Mexican Golf Federation. The course features 18 holes that cover 6,437 yards.
The Terps and the other 13 teams competing will play 18 holes on Sunday with starting tee times at 9:15 a.m. ET, then 27 holes on Monday starting at 9:15a.m. ET. The final 9 holes of the last round will be played starting at 9:15 a.m. ET Tuesday. All rounds will have starting tee times from both the 1st and 10th tees. Live scoring will be available here.
Competing for the Terrapins will be senior junior Virunpat Olankitkunchai, junior Laura Van Respaille, senior Xiaolin Tian, junior Charlotte Lafourcade and sophomore Elena Verticchio.
The Terrapins, ranked No. 58 nationally, will compete against No. 2 Arizona State, No. 15 Arkansas, No. 25 Baylor, California, No. 36 Clemson, No. 30 Florida State, No. 18 LSU, No. 49 Michigan, No. 5 South Carolina, No. 8 Stanford, No. 42 Tennessee, No. 37 Texas A&M and tournament-host No. 41 Virginia.
