AUSTIN, Texas -- Maryland suffered a 5-1 loss to Colorado State Friday evening on the second day of the Texas Classic.
Regan Kerr scored the first run of the 2020 season as she was driven in by Taylor Liguori. Fifth inning woes plagued the Terps, as the Rams scored four runs of three hits in the inning.
The Terps (0-3) were outhit 6-3 in the contest. Taylor Liguori notched the first two hits of her collegiate career. Anna Kufta added Maryland's other hit.
The Terps return to McCombs Field for its final day of the Texas Classic on Saturday, facing off against Lamar University and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, at 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. EST.
All games from the Texas Classic will be televised on the Longhorn Network, that can be purchased with an affiliated video service provider.
