Each week during the spring, umterps.com will profile a different member of the Maryland women's soccer team leading up to the 2020 season. This week we'll get to know Malikae Dayes, who will return for her final season as a Terp in 2020 as one of Maryland's most experienced veterans. The Brampton, Ontario native was one of two players to start in every game for UMD last season, while being named to the Big Ten All-Tournament team to cap off an outstanding season as one of the team's center backs.

Getting into the Big Ten Tournament
What are your goals for next season?
Winning the Big Ten tournament and becoming an All-American
What attracted you to the University of Maryland?
The campus
If you could play another sport at Maryland what would it be?
Basketball, it's awesome to see the school come together and support them. I think it would be so cool to experience having that many fans at your game.
What is your favorite memory from playing soccer?
A girl was on a breakaway about to score the winning goal and I was behind her. I did like a slide tackle but instead of tackling her I slid and took the ball from her. Stopping her from scoring the winning goal.
