TOWSON, Md. – The Maryland gymnastics team earned a 196.350 to claim first place at the Towson Tri Meet. This is the second-highest score of the season for the GymTerps. Towson earned second place with a 195.550 followed by George Washington in third earning a 195.500.

What You Need To Know

Maryland earned a 49.400 team score on floor, the best floor score of the season.
Other event scores: Vault: 49.025 // Bars: 49.050 // Beam: 48.875
The Terps finished in first place.
Three gymnasts earned career-highs.

Setting the Bar Higher
Vault:

Junior Randi Morris matched her career-high 9.825.
Junior Collea Burgess matched her career-high 9.850.
Freshman Reese McClure earned a 9.800

Bars:

Freshman Aleka Tsiknias earned a career-best 9.900 in the leadoff position.
Freshman Emma Silberman matched her all-time best 9.850.

Beam:

Sophomore Leksana Andrews notched a career-high 9.775.
McClure led the Terrapins with a 9.825

Floor:

Silberman earned a career-best 9.900.
Burgess earned a season-best 9.900.
Freshman Aleka Tsiknias matched her career-high 9.850.
McClure and junior Sabriyya Rouse tied for third, both with 9.875s.

"I am really proud of this team and the resilience they have shown all season, but especially tonight. Down the stretch we needed another big score and these girls are stepping up and getting the job done. I couldn't be more proud of the way this team battles every meet."
