Barbin, Knade Earn GCAA PING All-Region Honors

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Senior Peter Knade and freshman Austin Barbin of the Maryland men's golf team both earned GCAA PING All-Region honors this week.
This is Knade's second straight PING All-Region honor. He earned three top 10 finishes in the Terps' five events this season. Knade finished second at the VCU Invitational in Septermber. He shot a 204 (67-68-69), which was 12 strokes under par.
Knade finished third at The Intercollegiate at Innisbrook in November with a score of 207 (66-67-74), which was six under. He earned two Big Ten Golfer of the Week honors this season.
Barbin and Knade went first and second on the Maryland squad in four of five events this year.
Knade, Barbin and Chris Lane won two of their three matches in the Big Ten Match Play event to help the Terrapins to a third place finish.
