MINNESOTA STORYLINES
- Maryland is set to return to Williams Arena since its dramatic 17-point second half comeback against the Gophers last season, capped off by Darryl Morsell's miracle 3-pointer from the top of the arc. It was Maryland's greatest comeback since coming back from 19 points down in the 2004 ACC Tournament.
-
Maryland, Purdue and Ohio State are the only schools in the Big Ten Conference to record two ranked road wins this season. It is the first time since 2003-04 that the Terps have picked up a pair of ranked road wins. Maryland is 4-2 in its last six road games against ranked teams dating back to 2018-19.
-
The Terps are 10-2 all-time against Minnesota in a series that dates back to its inception in 1960. Maryland has won three consecutive games at Williams Arena, and has won four straight games in the series overall.
- Junior Aaron Wiggins has scored at least 14 points in six of his last nine games, including a career-high 22 points at Indiana (1/4).
-
Maryland has featured an array of scoring options this season with four different players scoring at least 20 points in a game: Aaron Wiggins (2x), Eric Ayala, Donta Scott and Hakim Hart. Senior Darryl Morsell fell one point shy of the benchmark when he scored a career-best 19 points in Maryland's win at then-No. 12 Illinois.
