RAINELLE'S REJECTIONS
- Senior middle blocker Rainelle Jones continues to have one of the best seasons in recent memory.
- Jones averages 1.72 blocks per set to lead not only the Big Ten, but also the conference.
- An Oxon Hill native, she recently passed 500 career blocks, one of only four Terps in program history. She now sits 11 away form passing Ashlyn MacGregor.
Dowler killin' it
- Sophomore setter Sydney Dowler has been on a tear of late in all aspects of the game.
- Dowler has 901 assists in her primary role, but has also added 56 kills as well. She recorded a career-high six against Michigan State.
- On the defensive end she averages nearly two and a half digs with a block per set.
milestone watch
- Continuing Big Ten play the Terps are set to face a pair of Midwestern opponents in Nebraska and Iowa.
- The Terps are 1-15 against Nebraska in 16 meetings with the lone victory coming on Dec. 8, 1975.
- Maryland is 7-5 against the Hawkeyes throughout history with the most recent victory coming via sweep on March 13, 2021.
