ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Maryland volleyball team bested Michigan in five sets to claim its first win of the season on Friday night at Cliff Keen Arena in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Erika Pritchard's double-double (18K, 14D) paced the offense on the evening.

- Erika Pritchard's third double-double of the season was crucial in propelling Maryland to its first win of the season. The senior outside hitter's 18 kills was her third most of the season, while also adding a season-high 16 digs. She also tied her season-high with three aces from the service line.
- Rainelle Jones continued to dominate at the net, tallying a team-high 11 blocks, which ties highest mark in her career.
- Nicole Alford did a little bit of everything for the Terps, pacing the team in assists (28), while also contributing nine digs, six blocks, and two kills.
- Five Terps notched four or more blocks in the best team blocking performance of the season. Jones' 11 led the team, while Alford (6), Cara Lewis (6), Rebekah Rath (5), and Jada Gardner (4) were also rock solid at the net.
- Lexy Finnerty's service run was crucial in the fifth set as the Terps overcame a four point deficit, trailing 8-4 at one point in the deciding set. Finnerty's two aces was a career high.
