COLLEGE PARK, Md. -  The Maryland men's basketball team returns to College Park Monday for a 9 pm tip against No. 7 Ohio State. The Terps are seeking their fifth ranked victory of the season, which would be the most in a regular season for the program since defeating six ranked teams in 2001-02.

RANKED MATCHUP MARATHON
  • Monday evening's game marks Maryland's 10th matchup against a ranked opponent through its first 13 games in Big Ten play. Maryland last played at least 10 ranked opponents in regular season action in 2003-04, when it played 12 ranked teams.

Terps BEST THE BOILERMAKERS
  • Maryland came from seven points down in the final four minutes to defeat #24 Purdue Tuesday evening. Junior guard Aaron Wiggins led the way with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Eric Ayala won the game with the game-tying and go-ahead free throws with 3.3 seconds remaining.

SERIES HISTORY
  •   The Terrapins are 7-3 against the Buckeyes since joining the Big Ten Conference in 2014-15, including victories in three of the last four meetings. Maryland leads the all-time series, 9-7, dating back to the inaugural meeting in 1934.

SURVIVING THE GAUNTLET 
  • Maryland's four victories against ranked opponents are tied for the second-most in the country, trailing only Ohio State's five. The Terrapins have played more Quad 1 games than any team nationwide (13), with Monday evening marking their 14th. Ohio State has played the second-most Quad 1 games in the country (11).

EVERYONE EATS
  • Maryland features an array of scoring options this season with four different players scoring at least 20 points in a game: Eric Ayala (3x), Aaron Wiggins (2x), Donta Scott and Hakim Hart. Senior Darryl Morsell fell one point shy of the benchmark when he scored a career-best 19 points in Maryland's win at then-No. 12 Illinois.
