LEEBURG, Fla. -- Jaeda McFarland went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and
Courtney Wyche tossed a complete game as the Maryland softball team topped Purdue, 8-1, in Leesburg, Fla., Friday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Maryland got on the board early in the bottom of the first, with McFarland tripling to left center, bringing Regan Kerr home
- Taylor Liguori entered the box for the Terps and brought McFarland back around after a bunt to put Maryland up 2-0
- Purdue put up a run of their own in the top of the fourth, but Maryland answered with another five runs to head into the the fifth up 6-1
- In the bottom of the sixth, Gracie Voulgaris got to first after a single up the middle, stole second, and came all the way back around for the Terps when McFarland notched a single of her own
