COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 11 Maryland women's lacrosse team will wrap up its 2021 home schedule as the Terps host in-state foe No. 20 Johns Hopkins on Wednesday, April 14 at 2:30 p.m. The game will air on the Big Ten Network with Mark Dixon and Rachel Dececco on the call.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 11 Maryland women's lacrosse team will wrap up its 2021 home schedule as the Terps host in-state foe No. 20 Johns Hopkins on Wednesday, April 14 at 2:30 p.m. The game will air on the Big Ten Network with Mark Dixon and Rachel Dececco on the call.
Parking restrictions will be lifted at 1:30 pm in lot 11B for the game. All guests will be able to park in this lot without being ticketed.
JOHNS HOPKINS STORYLINES
LOCKDOWN LIZZIE
- A two-time IWLCA Third Team All-American and the No. 14 ranked player in all of lacrosse by Inside Lacrosse, redshirt senior Lizzie Colson leads the Maryland defense with her 139 career groundballs, 287 career draw controls and 77 career caused turnovers.
- This past week, Colson was named an Inside Lacrosse First Team Midseason All-American, has been the Inside Lacrosse and IWLCA National Player of the Week and a two-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week this season.
- Against Rutgers (4/8) last week, Colson had a sensational game, tallying seven groundballs, the most by a Terp since Katie Schwarzmann in 2013 and six caused turnovers, the most by a Terp in at least 10 years.
- Colson ranks top-five in the country and leads the Big Ten, standing third nationally with 2.90 caused turnovers per game and fifth nationally with 3.90 groundballs per game.
- The graduate student is third all-time in program history with 287 draw controls, trailing only Taylor Cummings (509) and Kali Hartshorn (421).
HISTORIC HANNAH
- Attacker Hannah Leubecker has starred for the Terps offensively through 10 games this season, leading the Terps with 38 goals, standing tied with Megan Whittle's 2018 season for the most goals by a Terp through 10 games since at least 1993.
- Leubecker stands 13th in the country, averaging 3.80 goals per game.
- The sophomore has at least two goals in nine of 10 games this season with five games of over four goals and two seven goal games.
- Leubecker this past week was named an Inside Lacrosse Third Team Midseason All-American, was the Inside Lacrosse National Player of the Week on March 3 and was added to the Tewaaraton Watch List on April 2.
B1G SCHEDULE. B1G DOMINANCE.
- The Terps will play a Big Ten only schedule in 2021, playing each of the six conference opponents twice over the course of the season.
- Since Maryland joined the Big Ten in 2015, the Terps are 34-4 in conference play with five Big Ten Regular Season Championships.
- Including the postseason, the Terps are 44-6 against Big Ten competition since 2015.
DEFEND YOUR HOME
- Maryland has dominated at home under head coach Cathy Reese, standing at 149-4 since Reese took over in 2007.
- The Terps have gone undefeated in College Park in 11 of Reese's 14 seasons at the helm of the program and are 5-0 this year.
- From March 12, 2012 to February 15, 2020, Maryland won 86 games in a row at home, the longest home winning streak in all of Division One sports.
SERIES HISTORY
- Maryland has never lost to Johns Hopkins, standing at 19-0 all-time.
- Maryland and Johns Hopkins met earlier this season at Homewood Field in Baltimore, with the Terps escaping with a 9-8 overtime win. Hannah Leubecker unleashed a bouncer from just inside the eight meter in overtime to win the game.
