ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Maryland softball fell to Michigan 8-0 in five innings on Sunday, bringing the weekend total to 4-0 for the Wolverines. The Terps managed to put up three runs against the top-rated Big Ten team, including a homer from Regan Kerr, just the second against Michigan's Meghan Beaubien this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Michigan came out swinging in their first appearance of the game after the Terps went down in order, tallying two runs on three hits including a homer from Lou Allan
The Wolverines kept the homer streak going, with Taylor Bump sending one out of the park in the bottom of the second to put Michigan up 3-0 over the Terps
Allan recorded her second home run on the day in the bottom of the third, and a single from Bump brought two runners home to extend Michigan's lead to 6-0
In the top of the fourth, junior Taylor Okada singled to center field to get on base, followed by a hit from Trinity Schlotterbeck to put two Terps on, but Michigan's defense kept Maryland from making it back around
In the bottom of the same frame, Michigan recorded two runs on another four hits to bring their total runs to 8 on the day
The Terps put up a fight in the top of the fifth, with Shelby Younkin and Taylor Wislon making it on base after a single and throwing error on Michigan, but it wasn't enough to extend the game
Michigan took the Terrapins in five innings, 8-0
