Alexandrova Named ITA Most Improved Senior

TEMPE, Ariz. - Senior Eva Alexandrova has been named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Most Improved Senior in the Atlantic region, as announced on Monday.
"I'm so pleased to see Eva recognized in her final season at Maryland" head coach Katie Dougherty said. "She battles through injuries throughout her time at Maryland and worked incredibly hard on the court and in the classroom."
Alexandrova had an immensely successful career during her time as a Terp. In the 2021 season, Alexandrova maintained a winning record at the No. 2 spot, and was ranked as high as No. 84 by ITA in singles play, as well as No. 76 alongside fellow doubles partner Ayana Akli. She has consistently been ranked in the Atlantic region in both singles and doubles. During her time at Maryland, she has received numerous academic awards recognized by the university, conference and ITA. Alexandrova will be earning a degree in Aerospace Engineering in the spring of 2022 and then pursuing graduate school.
