Terps to Host Va. Tech in B1G/ACC Challenge

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's basketball team will host Virginia Tech Wed., Dec. 1, in the 2021 Big Ten/ACC Men's Basketball Challenge. Television designation and game time will be announced at a later date.
The Terrapins are 32-10 all-time against the Hokies, including six consecutive wins in the series. This marks the first matchup between the schools since Maryland's final season in the ACC in 2013-14.
Both teams are projected to be in the top-25 this season, as Maryland is ranked 12th and Virginia Tech is ranked 16th in ESPN's early top-25 rankings.
The Terrapins added a number of key transfers in the offseason, including junior forward Qudus Wahab (Georgetown), graduate guard Fatts Russell (Rhode Island) and sophomore guard Ian Martinez (Utah).
