COLLEGE PARK -- The MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2021 is underway from Las Vegas, as four former Terrapins will suit up for professional teams. Jalen Smith (Phoenix Suns), Aaron Wiggins (Oklahoma City Thunder), Anthony Cowan Jr. (Memphis Grizzlies) and Justin Jackson (Orlando Magic) are all in action.

Aaron Wiggins

It was a productive weekend for Wiggins with the Okalhoma City Thunder, as he averaged 26.5 minutes, 8.5 points, five rebounds, and two assists in a pair of games.

The rookie continues to earn extended minutes and make hustle plays for the Thunder, with who he just officially signed a two-way contract with.

Jalen Smith

Despite being a second-year player, this marks Jalen "Stix" Smith's first Summer League appearance as last year's edition was canceled due to Covid-19.

Smith was phenomenal in his debut Aug. 8, scoring a game-high 15 points and adding 12 rebounds in 29:30 of action. He also knocked down a pair of 3-pointers as the Suns fell to the Lakers, 73-72.

He followed that up with another double-double on Monday evening, scoring 12 points and pulling down a game-high 15 rebounds in a 63-57 loss to the Jazz.

NEXT GAME: Thursday, Aug. 12 // 10:00 pm ET // NBATV/ESPN3

Aaron Wiggins

The newly drafted rookie Wiggins also had a nice debut for the Oklahoma City Thunder, scoring 13 points in 22 minutes off the bench Sunday night. He also added five rebounds and three steals in the 72-72 victory over Detroit.

Wiggins was drafted with the 55th pick of the second round July 29 by OKC. He was the seventh Maryland player selected in the last six seasons, tied for most in the Big Ten during that span.

NEXT GAME: Wednesday, Aug. 11 // 7:00 pm ET // NBATV/ESPN3

Anthony Cowan Jr.

Cowan appeared in one game for the Grizzlies earlier this August when Memphis played a mini tournament in Salt Lake City, scoring six points on 2-of-7 shooting.

He scored one of his buckets with some nifty footwork on his way to the hoop.

Jackson is on the Orando Magic's summer league roster, having spent the last three seasons with the Lakeland Magic in the G-League.
