COLLEGE PARK, MDÂ -Â The Maryland men's basketball team looks to pick up its second straight road victory Tuesday evening when it faces Michigan in Ann Arbor for a 7:00 p.m. tip on ESPN2 and the Maryland Sports Radio Network. The Terps are playing their sixth of seven games in a difficult 19-day stretch between Jan. 3 - Jan. 21.

MICHIGAN STORYLINES
FIRST B1G WIN SECURED
- Maryland picked up its first Big Ten win of the season last week, when it went on the road to defeat Northwestern in a thrilling double overtime victory, 94-87.
- It was Maryland's first double overtime game since its first-ever Big Ten game on Dec. 30, 2014, when it defeated Michigan State, 68-66
Ayala finding his form
- All-Big Ten senior guard Eric Ayala tallied career-highs in points (26) and rebounds (11) vs. Northwestern (1/12), becoming the first Maryland guard with 26 points and 11 rebounds in a game since Greivis Vasquez recorded 35 points and 11 rebounds against UNC on Feb. 21, 2009.
- Ayala is averaging 19.3 points over his last eight games, shooting .462 from the field and .448 from beyond the arc. Ayala ranks seventh in program history with 193 career 3-pointers.
PLAYING WITH HARTÂ
- Junior guard Hakim Hart is averaging 12.7 points and shooting 53-of-92 (.543) from the field over the last 10 games.
- He has reached double-figures in every game during that 10-game span, after reaching the mark just nine times in his first 55 collegiate games.
- The Terrapins are 8-0 when Hart notches at least two steals in a game this season.
LIVING AT THE LINE
- Maryland currently leads the Big Ten in free throws attempts (342) and ranks second free throws made (250), and ranks 21st and 19th in the country respectively.
- The effort has been led by Fatts Russell and Eric Ayala, who both rank in the top-8 in the conference in free throws attempted.
GETTING THE LEAD
- Maryland has led in the second half of all six of its Big Ten Conference contests.
- In fact, Maryland has led in the second half of 16 of the 17 games it has played this season (George Mason, 11/17).
FAMILIAR GROUND
- For the second straight year, the Terrapins have started Big Ten Conference play with a 1-5 record.
- Last season, Maryland went 8-6 over its final 14 games to earn an NCAA Tournament berth and ultimately advance to the second round following a win over UConn.
