"This is the start to another great class," Clemsen said. "Each year we have added elite talent and difference makers and this class has that once again. When Clemsen and Company got to College Park, we made a point to keep the best in-state talent home and we have done that in this early signing period. We aren't done with this class, but these three are a really strong way to get it going."
Before Maryland: Starred at Clovis High...81st overall recruit in 2023 Class and 19th ranked at 138 pounds per FloWrestling...California State Runner Up...3x California State Placer...Super 32 Placer (4th).
Head coach Alex Clemsen: "Dario is talented and tough. He is bright and he is hard-working. It's no surprise he has had the results he has. Turtle Power fans are going to love his energy and competitiveness."
Before Maryland: Excelled at St. Mary's Ryken...A MatScouts top-200 recruit...2x State Finalist....3x National Prep AA...4th place finisher in 2019 Beast of the East.
Head coach Alex Clemsen: "I have known Clayton's family a long time and he was a kid we had circled from day one as a future building block. I'm really glad we could keep him home."
Before Maryland: Wrestled at South Carroll High School...2x Maryland State Champion...2x NHSCA All American...2022 Maryland Lightweight Wrestler of the Year.
Head coach Alex Clemsen: "Michael is a coach's dream. I cannot wait to get him in the XFINITY Center. He reminds me a lot of a few of my favorite former wrestlers. He is the best public school kid in the state and he belongs at UMD. I'm looking forward to having his leadership and intangibles added to our young group."
