COLLEGE PARK, MD - The top-ranked Maryland men's lacrosse team will host #20 Princeton Saturday as the Terrapins return home for another non-conference matchup.

The Terps took down #9 Syracuse 14-10 on the road last weekend to move to 3-0, thanks in part to a five-point (4G,1A) effort from Logan Wisnauskas and a stout defensive effort.

#1 moving up the record books      
  • Logan Wisnauskas continues to make his way up Maryland record books as he now sits 2nd all-time in goals with 156 and is only inches from 2nd all-time in points with 256, one behind Matt Rambo at 257.

  • Fifth-year senior Logan Wisnauskas has established himself as one of the most dangerous offensive players in college lacrosse during his career with the Terps, and now leads the Maryland offense in his final year with the program. Here's a look at Wisnauskas by the numbers.

    5 – Wisnauskas (152) is ranked fifth on the active list of D1 players in goals, 16 behind the active leader in Matt DeMeo of Stony Brook (168)

    5 – Wisnauskas currently ranks fifth in Division I in career points with 251.

    3 – Wisnauskas currently ranks third all-time at Maryland in career points (256) and is second all-time in career goals (156).

    8 – Wisnauskas has six career eight-point games as a Terrapin – the most in program history – last posting eight (5G, 3A) in Maryland's season-opening win over High Point.

WHAT does it take to be #1?  
  • Maryland was ranked No. 1 in the country in both the USILA Coaches Poll and the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll this week for the second straight week. 
  • The Terps have been tabbed No. 1 in at least one of the polls at some point during the year in four of the last six seasons.

IMPRESSIVE STREAKS
  • Maryland has won 33 consecutive games when allowing an opponent under 10 goals dating back to the 2017 National Championship season. Maryland allowed Loyola just eight goals last weekend. 
  • The Terps' defense held opponents to under 10 goals in seven different games last season, including a master class performance against Duke in the NCAA Semifinals allowing just five goals.
  • Maryland has been a tough out under head coach John Tillman when allowing under 10 goals, posting a 98-11 record under Tillman since 2011.

TILLMAN AT THE HELM
  • John Tillman enters Sunday's game with a 165-59 all-time record in 14 seasons as a Division I coach, with his .735 winning percentage ranking second amongst all active coaches.
  • Tillman has amassed a 145-40 (.782) record in 12 seasons at Maryland, 24 NCAA Tournament wins, eight Final Four appearances and the 2017 National Championship.

  • SERIES HISTORY
  • The Terps are 31-12-1 all-time against the Tigers dating back to the first meeting between the programs in 1927.
  • Maryland is currently riding a three-game winning streak against Princeton dating back to an NCAA Quarterfinals victory in 2006.
  • The Terps and Tigers last met on March 12, 2016 in New Jersey with the Terps winning handily 17-5. Colin Heacock and Connor Kelly both notched hat tricks that day.
