COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland wrestling team sends three wrestlers to the 2022 NCAA Wrestling Championships in Detroit, Michigan this weekend.
Dominic Solis, Kyle Cochran, and Jaron Smith will all be competing in their first national tournament. Solis will be the first one up as he faces Rutgers' Connor O'Neil in the 174-pound pigtail. Cochran also faces a Scarlet Knight with a third match against John Poznanski this season. Smith will face eight-seed Lou Deprez of Binghamton.
Maryland is seeking its first NCAA All-American since Youssif Hemida in 2019.
