Haley Ellefson tossed a four-hit shutout as the Terps blanked Binghamton, 8-0, on Saturday in the Capital City Classic. Ellefson struck out two and did not walk a batter as recorded her first-career complete game shutout with Maryland.
Merissa Borkowski went 4-for-4 with three runs scored, setting new career highs in all categories.
Mackense Greico went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored with two doubles.
Megan Mikami was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
Maryland stole six bases in the win with
Ruby Butler stealing a pair.
The Terps improved to 12-14 on the season.
