
GymTerps Head to Raleigh For NCAA Regionals

COLLEGE PARK, MD - The Maryland Gymnastics Program will head to Raleigh, NC to compete in the 2022 NCAA Regionals, March 31-April 2. Maryland enters as the No. 20 team in the nation, also being ranked No. 13 on bars and No. 18 on vault. Senior Audrey Barber ranks No. 12 in the country in the All-Around, sixth in the Big Ten.
Maryland will face reigning national champions No. 3 seed Michigan, along with No. 14 seed UCLA and North Carolina. The Terps will compete in the second session on Thursday, March 31 at 7 p.m. LSU, Missouri, Iowa, and host NC State will compete in the first session on Thursday.
The GymTerps head into Raleigh coming off a successful weekend in the Big Ten Championships, finishing sixth overall with a 196.450, the Terps' highest overall score in Big Tens since joining the conference in 2014. Barber's all-around score of 39.350 tied for the highest total in the morning session.
Alexsis Rubio led the Terps on vault, Emma Silberman and Aleka Tsiknias on bars, and Barber on floor, each posting 9.900s. Freshman Josephine Kogler led Maryland on beam with a score of 9.825.
