Maryland Falls To Boston College In Extras, 3-2

CHARLOTTE, NC – Maryland softball dropped a heartbreaker in eight innings to Boston College, 3-2, in the Queen City Classic. The Terps are now 9-8 on the season.
The Eagles scored the winning run on a Kennedy Labshere single up the middle in the bottom of the eighth capping a comeback after Maryland led 2-0.
Taylor Okada went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and a run scored. Mackense Greico drove in a go-ahead run in the top of the fifth inning to put Maryland ahead by two runs.
The Terps received another strong pitching performance as Haley Ellefson threw five innings, allowing just one run on six hits while striking out four.
Boston College is now 9-5 overall.
