- The Terps are 9-1 so far in 2022, coming off a 15-3 trouncing of Georgetown on Wednesday evening.
- Attacker Aurora Cordingley led the Terps with eight points, including the 250th of her career on her final goal. Cordingley, now has 250 career points with 154 goals, 96 assists with 68 points this season (38 goals and 30 assists).
- It was her third game this season with at least eight points and her fourth with at least four goals.
RORY IS ROARING
- Fifth-year transfer Aurora Cordingley, who will be playing her former Johns Hopkins squad, is off to a record-breaking start as a Terp, currently leading the nation points per game (6.80 per game).
- She also stands second in the nation in assists per game (3.00) and eighth in goals per game (3.80).
- At her current pace, with 68 points and 30 assists through 10 games, Cordingley is on track to break Maryland's single season points (Jen Adams, 148, 2001) and assists record (Jen Adams, 60, 2001).
- The Canadian National Team member has at least five points in nine of 10 games, has at least six points in seven of the last nine games and is the first Terp with two double-digit point games in a season since Alex Aust in 2013, tallying 11 (six goals, five assists) against Villanova (3/13) and 10 (four goals, six assists) against No. 7 Florida (2/26).
FIVE TERPS NAMED MIDSEASON ALL-AMERICANS
- Five Terps were named Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-Americans on Thursday afternoon.
- Defender Abby Bosco was named a first team selection, attacker Aurora Cordingley and goalie Emily Sterling were selected as second team selections and midfielder Shaylan Ahearn and attacker Hannah Leubecker were recognized with honorable mention distinction.
- The Terps have the most all-americans on the list of any Big Ten school.

- Goalie Emily Sterling has been a brick wall in net this season, currently standing third in the country in goals against average (7.54) and fifth in the country in save percentage (.527).
- Over the last seven games, Sterling is saving 58-percent of shots, tallying 56 saves to only 41 goals allowed, an incredible 6.73 goals against average.
750 WINS
- The Maryland women's lacrosse program is one win away from 750 program wins, the first program in the sport to reach that milestone.
- Head Coach Cathy Reese has been a part of the the program for 462 of those 749 wins, 75 as a player, 94 as an assistant coach and 293 as a head coach.
- Currently in the 49th year of the program, Maryland has won 15 national championships. The all-time program record stands at 749-149-3.
SERIES HISTORY
- Maryland has never lost to Johns Hopkins, standing at 22-0 all-time.
- The Terps and Blue Jays played three times last season with Maryland defeating Hopkins by one goal in all three contests.
- At Homewood Field, Hannah Leubecker scored in overtime to give Maryland a 9-8 win.
- At The Plex a month later, Grace Griffin scored the game winner with 39 seconds left to give Maryland a win by the same 9-8 score.
- Then, a few weeks following that in the Big Ten Semifinals, Lizzie Colson intercepted a pass up one goal with 1:01 left to preserve the win.
