
Maryland Gains Momentum in Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The Maryland men's golf team finished 10th at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial Golf Tournament this week (Apr. 11-12) at Birdwood Golf Course at Boar's Head Resort at fourth their stop of the spring season.
Over the two-day 54 hole event, players teed it up on the par-71 - 7,058-yard golf course.
The Collective
-Senior Dhaivat Pandya finished in a six-way tie for 27th (+1) - - (70-71-73)
-Senior Dillon Brown finished in a four-way tie for 34th (+3) - - (73-73-70)
-Senior Will Koras finished in an eight-way tie for 43rd (+6) - - (74-70-75)
-Graduate Chris Tanabe finished in a six-way tie for 51st (+7) - - (71-74-75)
-Freshman Florian Huerlimann finished in a five-way tie for 60th (+10) - - (73-72-78)
Rodenhaver's Take
"This is probably the most consistent we've played all year," said head coach Jason Rodenhaver. "All five guys were in it all three rounds. I'm really pleased with how we finished the second round this morning, playing the last few holes the three under (par). It was overall a solid week. We're still searching for the low round each day. To get in the mix to win, we've got to post a 67s and 68s to have a chance."
