PRINCETON STORYLINES

- The Terps are 11-1 so far in 2022, coming off a 13-6 Big Ten victory over Penn State. Emily Sterling set a new career-high in saves with 13, and Aurora Cordingley paced the offense with six points (five goals, one assist).
- Abby Bosco led a Maryland defense that held Penn State to just a .261 save percentage with six groundballs and four caused turnovers while holding her matchup, Penn State's leading scorer, scoreless.
RORY IS ROARING
- Fifth-year transfer Aurora Cordingley is off to a record-breaking start as a Terp, currently leading the nation points per game (6.33 per game).
- She also stands sixth in the nation with 31 assists. The Canadian National Team member has at least five points in 10 of 12 games, has at least six points in eight of the last 11 games and is the first Terp with two double-digit point games in a season since Alex Aust in 2013, tallying 11 (six goals, five assists) against Villanova (3/13) and 10 (four goals, six assists) against No. 7 Florida (2/26).
- She has twice this season been named the IWLCA National Player of the Week and four times been named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, both the most since three-time Tewaaraton winner Taylor Cummings in 2015.
- Cordingley has recorded at least one point in 44-straight games dating back to April 25, 2018.
- The first 32 of those games were at Johns Hopkins, where combined with her 12 games at Maryland, she has 24 career games with at least five points.
FIVE TERPS NAMED MIDSEASON ALL-AMERICANS
- Five Terps were named Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-Americans on Thursday afternoon.
- Defender Abby Bosco was named a first team selection, attacker Aurora Cordingley and goalie Emily Sterling were selected as second team selections and midfielder Shaylan Ahearn and attacker Hannah Leubecker were recognized with honorable mention distinction.
- The Terps have the most all-americans on the list of any Big Ten school.

- Goalie Emily Sterling has been a brick wall in net this season, currently leading the nation with a .560 save percentage and a 7.23 goals against average.
- The junior has over a 50-percent save percentage in seven of 12 games this season and is saving at a .674 percent clip over the past three games.
- Sterling has been named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week twice this season after standout games against Rutgers, Georgetown and Johns Hopkins and was selected as a Second Team Midseason All-American by Inside Lacrosse.
750 WINS
- The Maryland women's lacrosse program reached 750 wins last week, the first program in the sport to reach that milestone.
- Head Coach Cathy Reese has been a part of the the program for 463 of those 750 wins, 75 as a player, 94 as an assistant coach and 294 as a head coach.
- Currently in the 49th year of the program, Maryland has won 15 national championships. The all-time program record stands at 752-149-3.
SERIES HISTORY
- Maryland leads the all-time series with Princeton, 32-8.
- The Terps defeated Princeton 15-7 the last time the Terps and Tigers met in 2019 behind five goals apiece from Jen Giles and Kali Hartshorn and 14 saves from Megan Taylor.
- The last time the two programs faced off in Princeton, Taylor Hensh scored a game-winner with 46 seconds left.
- Maryland has won 14-straight against Princeton dating back to when Cathy Reese became head coach in 2007.
