Goff and Wyche Receive Weekly Big Ten Honors

ROSEMONT, IL - Sophomore Kiley Goff and junior Courtney Wyche have received weekly Big Ten softball honors, as announced by the conference on Monday.
Earning Co-Player of the Week, Goff was a standout for the Terps over the past week, posting a .625 BA over five games. Goff recorded five hits and six runs, including an RBI single to get the Terps on the board against Minnesota. Goff notched a .750 slugging % and a .786 ob%, the highest of her team. The sophomore went 3-4 on stolen bases, helping her Terps to become the No. 1 team in the country for stolen bases (120). Behind the plate as a catcher, Goff went a perfect 1.000 on 24 put outs. Goff earns her first conference honor of the season and her career.
In the circle, Wyche excelled for Maryland, leading to her Co-Pitcher of the Week nod. The junior pitcher earned herself three wins on the week, pitching three complete games and posting a 0.67 ERA over 21 IP. The Terp struck out a total of 20 batters (nine against Rutgers and 11 at Minnesota; including seven in the series-winning rubber match), allowing just 11 hits over the course of three games. Wyche brings her record to 12-5 on the year and is an integral piece to Maryland's current and best-ever conference record/start in program history. This marks Wyche's first conference honor, and Maryland's first Big Ten Pitcher of the Week since joining the conference.
