OMAHA, NE -- Top-seeded and eighth-ranked Maryland saw its eight-game win streak come to an end with a 15-8 loss to fifth-seeded Michigan on Friday night into Saturday morning in a game that ended at 2:30 am ET at Charles Schwab Field. Maryland is now 45-11 overall and will play at 1 p.m., on Saturday against Indiana in an elimination game.
The Terps fell behind 10-4 after four innings, but three RBIs from
Troy Schreffler Jr. including a solo home run got the team within striking distance at 10-8. Michigan scored five runs in the seventh inning to push the game out of reach.
