COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Coming off the 2022 MLB All-Star Game, lets take a look at the Terps in the Pros. Multiple Terps have made a significant impact for their organizations already, as the second half of the season gets underway.
 
MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL (MLB)
BRANDON LOWE, TAMPA BAY RAYS
Lowe is back in the Tampa Bay lineup after an injury riddled first half of the season. Since being activated on July 16, the second baseman is batting .500 with nine hits and one RBI. Lowe set career highs in 2021 with 39 home runs and 99 RBIs for the AL East Division Champion Rays.
 
 
JOSÉ CUAS, KANSAS CITY ROYALS
Not far removed from questioning his future in the sport amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic, Cuas has been a consistent presence out of the Kansas City bullpen. After making his Major League debut on May 31, Cuas has pitched 19 innings across 23 games. The Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native currently holds a 2-1 record with a 2.81 ERA and 14 strikeouts.
 
LAMONTE WADE JR. SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS
After facing injury issues of his own early in the season, the Giants activated Wade Jr.  on June 29 after a rehab stint with Triple-A Sacramento. Over his last 30 games, the Baltimore native is batting .173 with three home runs and 14 RBIs
MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL (MILB)
KEVIN SMITH, OAKLAND ATHLETICS
Smith opened the season in the Majors, recording 13 RBIs and swiping four bases over 47 games. The East Greenbush, New York native was optioned to the Triple-A Las Vegas Aviators on June 13. Over 27 games in Las Vegas the shortstop is batting .188 with nine RBIs.
 
SEAN BURKE, CHICAGO WHITE SOX
Since being promoted to Double-A Birmingham, Burke has made 11 starts, pitching a total of 40.2 innings. The pitcher currently holds a 1-4 record with a 6.20 ERA and 48 strikeouts.

ANDREW BECHTOLD, MINNESOTA TWINS
Playing in his second season with Double-A Wichita, Bechtold is batting .236 with 12 home runs and 35 RBIs over 73 games. The catcher hit 18 home runs and 48 RBIs over 99 games last season.

NICK DUNN, ST. LOUIS CARDINALS
Dunn is having a stellar second season with Double-A Springfield batting .281 with 26 RBIs, while drawing 43 walks.

BEN COWLES, NEW YORK YANKEES
Cowles has been a steady performer in his first full season with Single-A Tampa. The shortstop is currently batting .276 with seven home runs and 28 RBIs
 
MARTY COSTES, HOUSTON ASTROS
Costes was activated by the Triple-A Sugar Land Space Cowboys after rehab stints with the FCL Astros and Asheville Tourists. In 17 games for the Space Cowboys, the left fielder is batting .217.
 
AJ LEE, HOUSTON ASTROS
Lee has played the majority of the year for High-A Asheville, currently batting .232 with three home runs and 15 RBIs
 
ADAM KOLAREK, OAKLAND ATHLETICS
Kolarek spent 15 games in the Majors, going 0-1 with a 4.58 ERA in 15 games. The Baltimore, Maryland native was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on May 29. In 16 games with Las Vegas the pitcher currently holds a 6.11 ERA with 21 strikeouts.
 
HUNTER PARSONS, NEW YORK METS
Parson was promoted from High-A to Double-A Binghamton after going 3-0 with a 1.83 ERA over 12 games. In 12 games with Binghamton, Parsons holds a 4.58 ERA with 21 strikeouts over 19.2 innings
 
RANDY BEDNAR, SEATTLE MARINERS
In his second season with the Single-A Modesto Nuts Bednar is batting .218 with 32 RBIs, 25 walks and five stolen bases in 65 games
