COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Seven current and former members of the Maryland field hockey program have been chosen to represent the 2022-23 US National Team, Head Coach Greg Drake and his staff announced Tuesday.

Three current Terps
Emma DeBerdine,
Hope Rose, and
Leah Crouse were named to the 38-athlete roster along with Terrapin alumnae
Brooke DeBerdine, Kelee LePage,
Julianna Tornetta and Linnea Gonzales.

These selections came after assessment at the 2022 Senior Nexus Championship (NXC), presented by Osaka Hockey, which included participation from nine terps

Belle Bressler,
Leah Crouse,
Emma DeBerdine,
Riley Donnelly, Kelee Lepage,
Hope Rose,
Julianna Tornetta and
Rayne Wright.

"I continue to be impressed with the talented players coming through the Olympic Development Pathway," stated Greg Drake, USWNT Head Coach. "I believe the USWNT is now in the strongest position it has been for a number of years."

The US National Team athletes will report for training camp on Sunday, July 31 through Thursday, August 4 in Charlotte, N.C. The USWNT will compete in the fourth season of the FIH Hockey Pro League, which will begin November 3. However, Team USA will not compete until February 17, 2023.
