Jaxon Smith Set for U20 Pan-American Championships

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Jaxon Smith is headed to Oaxtepec, Mexico for the 2022 U20 Pan-American Championships this weekend.
Smith, who redshirted last season, is set to compete on Sunday, July 10. He's currently stated to face Canada's Karanpreet Gill in the first round.

Smith won the US Open by a score of 44-2 in four matches. That victory qualified him for these Pan-American Championships. By winning the best-of-three against Silas Allred on June 4, he earned his spot on the 2022 World Team. Those World Championships will take place August 15-21 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
In his redshirt campaign, the Cartersville, Georgia, native posted a 23-6 record, including multiple open tournament titles.
