Hardshells in the PLL

COLLEGE PARK, MD - Entering the final week of the 2022 regular season, the Premier Lacrosse League season is coming to a close. As teams prepare for the postseason, let's check-in on our Terrapin alumni.

The Whipsnakes LC, already two-time PLL Champions, have clinched the top-seed and a Championship Series berth with an 8-1 record sitting two games ahead of the next closest team. The Atlas, Chrome, Waterdogs, and Archers are the other squads who have secured playoff berths.

On the statistical leaderboards, Connor Kelly leads the league in two-point goals while Kyle Bernhlohr paces all goalies in save percentage.

Cannons

Since joining the Cannons midway through the season, Jonathan Donville has found himself a home. Donville exploded for a pair of goals on Saturday against the Chrome. He's now scored seven goals to go alongside two assists earlier in the season.

Making an impact across the entire field, Bubba Fairman has made his presence felt for the canons. This past weekend Fairman showed off his versatility with a CT, a GB, and a goal. He's got a CT, five points, and 17 GB on the season.

Defensively, Rahill has forced a turnover and grabbed nine GB in five games.

Chrome

With back-to-back wins under their belt, the Chrome head into the final week of the season second in the league.

Embedded in the Rookie of the Year race, Logan Wisnauskas continues to impress as the top overall pick of the 2022 draft. He's second on the squad with 28 points (20G, 8A) after notching his fifth hat trick of the season on Saturday.

Defensively, Jesse Bernhardt has scooped 19 GB alongside eight CT after registering a pair of each this past weekend. Nick Grill has four CT and nine GB himself.

Offensively, Colin Heacock has provided a boost in the midfield with six points (4G, 2A).

Waterdogs

While their five-game winning streak came to an end this past weekend, the Waterdogs have been one of the hottest teams across the PLL in recent weeks.

The league leader with four two-point goals, Connor Kelly, leads the team's midfield with 26 points.

Jake Higgins had one of his performances of the season with a career-high two CT against the Redwoods.
Whipsnakes

Winners of four straight games, the Whipsnakes continue to impress. On attack, the Terps are paced by a pair of Terp legends: Matt Rambo and Jay Carlson. The duo has combined for 43 points on 29 goals, or nearly 30 percent of the team's total.

A reliable anchor at LSM, Michael Ehrhardt has a balanced resume of six points, ten CT, and 28 GB.

Rookie Keegan Khan has continued his resurgent summer with goals in five consecutive games, including a pair of hat tricks. He's got nine points (6G, 3A) on the year.

In the midfield, Mike Chanechuk and Bryan Cole have combined for nine GB, ten assists, and 19 goals.

A Terrapin-heavy defense, Tim Muller, Bryce Young, and Matthew Dunn make up the majority of the Whipsnakes' backside and the trio has accumulated ten CT and 36 GB.

In the net, Kyle Bernlohr leads the league with a 59 percent save rate. He's allowed only nine goals per game while making 15.3 saves per game over the last three weeks. In terms of his career, Bernlohr has now moved into 13th all-time across professional lacrosse history with 807 saves.
