Kallista Liu had a strong showing in singles competition, going 3-1.
Selma Cadar went 1-1 in singles competition.
Â
"We feel like this was a breakthrough tournament for Kallista, she came up with three big wins in the prequalifying and played a tight match with Ratliff in the first round of Qualifying," said Head Coach
Katie Dougherty. "She competed a lot this summer and is reaping the rewards of competing and practicing at a high level."
Â
Minorka Miranda and
Maria Budin split their doubles matches going 1-1. #38
Selma Cadar and
Mary Brumfield went 0-2 in doubles competition.
Â
"Selma had a great bounce-back win as well and is playing great tennis. Mino and Maria are a great team and with a couple more matches under their belt I think they're primed for Regionals," Coach Dougherty said, "Mary and Selma didn't have their best tournament but same as Mino/Maria I think they're in a great spot heading into Regionals."
